Step 1 of 2

Where are you, and when is a good time?

No health questions. Your info is never sold.

Your Initial Enrollment Period

Most people first become eligible at 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period is generally seven months: the three months before your birthday month, your birthday month, and the three months after. Signing up for Part B late can mean a lasting penalty unless you have qualifying coverage, such as through an employer.

Don't miss your Medigap window

Once you're 65 and enrolled in Part B, you get a six-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period. During it you can buy any supplement sold in Oklahoma without health questions. This is usually the easiest time to get a Plan G or Plan N.

The basics

  • Part A and Part B make up Original Medicare. You enroll through Social Security.
  • Medicare Supplement plans help pay costs Original Medicare leaves.
  • Part D helps pay for prescription drugs.
  • Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans from private companies are a lower-premium alternative with networks and copays.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 1 organization which offers 7 products in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything to work with you?

No. You don't pay me anything to work with me. Licensed agents are paid by the insurance company.

What is the difference between Plan G and Plan N?

Plan G covers the Medicare-approved costs Original Medicare leaves after the yearly Part B deductible. Plan N usually has a lower premium, and you pay the Part B deductible, a copay of up to $20 for some office visits, up to $50 for emergency room visits that do not result in an inpatient admission, and possible Part B excess charges.

Is Plan G the same from every company?

Yes. Medicare Supplement benefits are standardized, so Plan G covers the same things no matter which company sells it. Premiums, rate history and service can differ, which is why I compare carriers.

When can I buy a Medicare Supplement without health questions?

During your six-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period, which starts the month you are 65 or older and enrolled in Part B, and in certain other guaranteed-issue situations.

Can I change my Medicare Supplement any time?

You can apply any month of the year. Outside guaranteed-issue situations, the company may ask health questions to decide.

Do you offer Medicare Advantage plans?

Yes. If a supplement premium doesn't fit your budget, I can walk you through the Medicare Advantage plans I offer. I don't offer every plan available in your area.
