Where are you, and when is a good time?

No health questions. Your info is never sold.

Original Medicare moves with you

Part A and Part B work the same in every state. Update your address with Social Security and your Medicare coverage continues.

If you have a Medicare Supplement

Medicare Supplement plans are standardized, so you can keep your current policy after moving to Oklahoma as long as you stay with Original Medicare. Tell your insurance company your new address. The exception is a Medicare SELECT policy: if you move out of its service area, you have a guaranteed-issue right to switch, applying from 60 days before to 63 days after that coverage ends. Your premium may change because rates depend on where you live. If you'd like to compare a different supplement, Oklahoma has a yearly birthday rule that lets current supplement policyholders change to a plan with equal or lesser benefits without medical underwriting, during a window of at least 60 days starting on their birthday.

If you have a Medicare Advantage or Part D plan

These plans have service areas. If you move out of your plan's service area, you get a Special Enrollment Period to pick a new plan. It begins the month you move and lasts 2 full months after. If you tell your plan before you move, it starts the month before you move. If you'd rather go back to Original Medicare, moving out of your Advantage plan's service area can also give you a guaranteed-issue right to buy certain Medicare Supplement plans, generally within 63 days after your coverage ends.
